Independent and effiencient Judiciary is the soul of the democracy. Judiciary is meant to provide speedy justice with quality and integrity to the litigants. Strengthening the judiciary is one of the basic requirement for strengthening the democracy of the country. The role of advocates is equaly important to develope legal profession and to strengthen judicial system. Without the healthy environment, proper working conditions and necessary infrastructure facilities, the advocates can not contribute to the goal of "Justice For All" through speedy and modern judiciary. Our KDBA is also making highest efforts to make it possible. While marching towards speedy and modern judiciary, the Government should implement it's policy of "Justice At Doorstep" and "Decentralization Of Judiciary" through establishing as many Benches of Bombay High Court as required. The establishment of Bench at Kolhapur is not a matter of option, but it is a matter of "Justice" to the people living in the six districts.
Indian democracy is full of enriched judicial tradition. The weaker class of the society can achieve development and justice only due to the fundmental right of equality guaranteed under the Constitution. The entire functioning of the Bar Council and the bar associations should be the interest of advocate community and also in the interest of the society in general. The competent judges can be provided only by competent bar. The young advocates should be assisted by process of training from senior advocates and the judges for developing their skills of advocacy. Unless and until, the competent bar as well as bench are established, we can not march towards "Speedy Modern Judiciary". This is the right time to provide "Justice At Doorstep" to the weaker and distant sections of the society by establishing Bench at Kolhapur and to do the real "Justice" not only in letters but in spirit.
